Graphic Design

Route

Briefing

Develop —conceptually and formally— a graphic code for an intercultural workshop, which hypothetically will foster its first edition in Dakar, Senegal.

Proposal

Route intended as a passage, a road. The word evokes the itinerant spirit of the workshop. In terms of visual language, we set up a game between the tangible and the ethereal, but taking as the starting point the African ancestral use of color.

Contribution

The project revolves around one questions: how to preserve African cultural identity through design, but without deploy blackness as a calling card.

Production

The palette is conceived within a specific cultural background. However, in order to explore the potential of change, the graphic code opens up to new possibilities by adapting the color to new hypothetical geographic locations.
