Briefing

A biographical selection of main characters of the Protectorate in such diverse fields as education, diplomacy, politics and culture. An ambitious piece of work that deserves a contemporary visual approach far from historical one.

Proposal

The graphic representation of the North coast of Morocco, printed on rough cardboard and sandy tone, works as a visual metaphor for the human footprint left by the characters of the book.

Contribution

An evocative and contemporary visual language to represent the relationship between Morocco and Spain during the the time of the Protectorate.

Production

A two-volume edition with 1,500 prints. Case and covers on cardboard with fiber 100% recycled. The vertical composition for the title and its brilliant stamping foil contrasts with the cover material.
